Agriculture and Rural Development

Agriculture is the main economic activity of our communities, yet many farmers still struggle with limited resources and poor productivity. To support them, ACDA has provided assistance to thousands of farmers, helping to improve their output and ensure better living conditions for their families.

From the provision of free farming tools such as cutlasses, hoes, and boots, to the distribution of hybrid cocoa seedlings, our goal has always been to empower smallholder farmers with the means to achieve food security and sustainable growth.

Essential Interventions

  • Free farming tools and hybrid cocoa seedlings to boost productivity.

  • Training and seminars with experts on best agricultural practices.

We also launched the Banana/Plantain Program, an ambitious project to transform 20 hectares of farmland into plantations dedicated to large-scale agriculture. This initiative not only helps fight food insecurity but also creates employment opportunities for many people in our communities.

Beyond crops, our agricultural seminars have successfully encouraged diversification into poultry and pig farming, enabling farmers to generate additional income and reduce dependence on a single source of livelihood. Today, countless farmers testify to the remarkable impact these programs have had on their lives.

Projects in perspective

  • Strengthen farmers’ technical and entrepreneurial skills to enhance agricultural productivity.

  • Scale up diversification efforts in poultry, piggery, and crop farming for sustainable growth.

  • Expand the Banana/Plantain Program to secure food systems and create jobs.

Because investing in agriculture today is securing food and livelihoods tomorrow.
