Poverty and unemployment are at the root of many social challenges in rural Cameroon. At ACDA-CAMEROON, we believe the path to sustainable development is through empowering communities with practical skills that foster self-reliance and resilience.
Agriculture: Feeding Families and the Future
Distribution of farming tools and hybrid seedlings to smallholder farmers.
Training on best practices in agriculture to improve yields and income.
Ongoing plantation projects, including 20 hectares of banana/plantain cultivation.
Diversification into poultry and pig farming to strengthen food security.
Skills Training for Women and Youth
Computer literacy programs: Over 500 graduates since 2020, including many internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Sewing and fashion design workshops in Big Nganjo, empowering women and girls (36+ trained since May 2025).
The Bigger Picture
By combining agriculture and vocational training, we are equipping people not only to survive, but to thrive—building small businesses, generating income, and reducing dependency on aid.
Every tool, every training, and every skill given today is an investment in tomorrow’s self-sufficient community.
